Beneath Bali's waves lies a world as rich and diverse as anything on land — technicolour coral gardens, schools of tropical fish, manta ray cleaning stations, and the famous USAT Liberty shipwreck. Whether you're a first-time snorkeller or a certified diver seeking advanced sites, our Bali snorkeling and diving packages cover all experience levels and Bali's best underwater locations from Amed and Tulamben to the dramatic waters of Nusa Penida.
Amed and Padang Bai in east Bali offer excellent snorkeling with calm, clear water and colourful coral reefs. Nusa Penida is famous for manta rays and mola-mola (ocean sunfish). Blue Lagoon near Padang Bai is one of the best beginner snorkeling spots in Bali.
No experience is needed for snorkeling — our guides provide full equipment, a safety briefing, and in-water support for beginners. Life vests are available for non-swimmers. For scuba diving, basic open-water certification is required for most dive sites, or you can join a discover scuba diving (DSD) intro dive.
Manta rays are most reliably spotted at Nusa Penida's Manta Point between April and October when currents are strongest and mantas visit cleaning stations regularly. Sightings are possible year-round but less frequent during the wet season.
We provide all snorkeling equipment (mask, fins, snorkel, life vest). Bring reef-safe sunscreen (no oxybenzone), a rash guard or t-shirt for UV protection, a towel, water, and a waterproof bag for your phone. Underwater cameras can be rented in advance — ask us when booking.
Most snorkeling tours last 4–6 hours including transport, covering 2–3 snorkeling sites. Full-day tours incorporating Nusa Penida or multiple sites run 8–10 hours. All tours include hotel pickup and drop-off from south and central Bali.
