Bali's volcanic highlands are threaded with rivers that plunge over spectacular cliffs into emerald pools below. Our waterfall tour packages take you deep into the jungle to discover cascades that require short jungle treks, hidden canyon descents, and breathtaking viewpoint scrambles — all at a relaxed pace with your private guide leading the way. Swim beneath towering falls and emerge refreshed in one of the world's most beautiful natural settings.
Sekumpul Waterfall in north Bali is widely considered the most spectacular — a group of 7 cascades in a jungle canyon. Nungnung is the most dramatic single drop, while Tukad Cepung is the most unique, hidden inside a canyon cave. Our tours can combine multiple waterfalls in one day.
Difficulty ranges from easy (Gitgit, a 15-minute flat walk) to moderate (Sekumpul, a 20-minute descent with stairs) to challenging (Nungnung, 500+ steps). Your guide will match the trek difficulty to your fitness level and group composition.
Yes! Most of Bali's waterfalls have natural swimming pools at their base. Water is cool and refreshing year-round. Bring a swimsuit and a quick-dry towel. Your guide will advise on current water levels and safety.
Waterfalls are most spectacular during or just after the wet season (November–April) when water flow is strongest. During the dry season (May–October) the waterfalls are still beautiful and treks are less muddy. We run waterfall tours year-round.
Wear quick-dry shorts and a t-shirt, and bring a swimsuit for swimming. Closed-toe shoes or sandals with grip are essential for slippery trails. Pack sunscreen, insect repellent, and a waterproof bag for your phone or camera.
