Ubud is Bali's cultural and artistic heart — a town surrounded by rice paddies, jungle ravines, ancient temples, and world-class art galleries. The cool central highlands beyond Ubud offer everything from the iconic Tegallalang rice terraces to the misty lake temples of Bedugul, the sacred spring of Tirta Empul, and the sweeping UNESCO-listed Jatiluwih terraces. This is Bali at its most serene and authentic.
