Bali is blessed with dozens of stunning waterfalls hidden in its lush jungle interior. From the legendary seven-cascade spectacle of Sekumpul in the north to the easy-access Gitgit and the photogenic twin falls of Tibumana near Ubud, chasing waterfalls is one of the most rewarding ways to experience Bali's natural beauty beyond the beaches.
Sekumpul in North Bali is widely considered the most spectacular — seven cascades in a jungle gorge. For easier access near Ubud, Tibumana and Tegenungan are popular. Gitgit is a great option on the North Bali road.
Difficulty varies. Sekumpul requires a 30-minute steep descent. Gitgit is an easy 10-minute walk. Tegenungan is almost flat. We match the trekking level to your group's fitness and preferences.
Many Bali waterfalls have pools at the base where swimming is possible. Conditions vary by season — dry season (May–October) generally offers calmer, cleaner water. Always check with your guide on arrival.
Waterfalls are at their most powerful and dramatic during rainy season (November–March), but trails can be slippery. Wear proper footwear and follow your guide's safety instructions. Some waterfalls may be temporarily inaccessible after heavy rain.
We typically recommend 2–3 waterfalls per day depending on trekking time. A popular North Bali combination is Sekumpul + Gitgit + Ulun Danu Temple in a full day. Our drivers handle all transport.
